Embed Media

A collection of object/embed code to embed different media in webpages.
Copy the OBJECT code and paste it in your own webpage.
With iWeb, use the HTML Snippet. Make sure the pathname to your file(s) is correct.
Proceed to the pages by clicking the links above.
More iWeb embed samples here.
Here's a basic sample page with shaded background you can use for testing.
Click to open a window with the pop-up code.
Note : The pop-up script does not work with Safari 4.0 Beta for Macintosh. Nor will the movie show in the basic sample page.

Update 20 Jan 2011
Here's an easy to use application for Mac OS X and Windows to convert movies to other formats (including the new WebM video format) : Miro Video Converter

I use nested <object>. <embed> does not validate with W3.Org.
Some browsers support <object> + classid, others <object> + type.
Safari and Camino have that problem. You have both.

Through A List Apart I came by this solution. More about <object> at A List Apart you get by searching.

VisualHub, now only available in the wild, can convert most of the formats.
Get the torrent for version 1.34. If not available, download it here.

Video Monkey is the successor of VisualHub.

Windows users should download Format Factory. The application will convert any file.
Or use Any Video Converter.
